Version 4.3.1 brings 18 customer-facing changes to ARC Library. Role or platform labels appear only where a change is specific to that experience.

New

Library cards show what is next

Every book card now has one coloured line that says what to do next and by when, such as Review 3 days late or Promote by Fri. Covers stay clean, with only small format and Want to buy tags. ARChie shows you round on your next Library visit.

Do the next step from the card

On a computer, hover a card for a button that does its next step, such as Rate now, Mark promoted or Update progress. On a phone or tablet, long-press a card for the same action, plus Select and Open book. Tap the progress bar on a card to update your progress.

A clearer Weekly planner

On the Focused dashboard, the Weekly planner in the theme look is now a strip of seven dates and a short agenda of only the days with something due. The Paper look and the phone layout stay as they were.

Choose how cards show status

In Settings, Library, pick when a book status such as Received or Approved shows: only when it is the next step, always, or as a slim strip along the bottom of the card. You can also give cards a thin frame in the status colour.

Hide the Library menu

On a computer, the button beside the Library title hides the left menu so your books use the full width. The [ key does the same. The menu now also lists My filters, so one click opens All books with that filter on.

A Done tab for form applications

Form applications in your Library now have a Done tab. Accepted applications move there by themselves once the book is reviewed and promoted, or tap Mark done. Review links save as soon as you tap Add.

Open and close dates for shared forms

Author and PA

When you share a Google Form or BookFunnel link, you can now set when applications open and close, and change the dates later. Before the open date, readers see when it opens.

Report a book on the wrong author

Spot a book on an author page that they did not write? Tap ⋯ on the book and choose Not this author's book, and our moderators will check it.

Improved

Nothing cut off on cards

Titles, authors and the next-step line on cards, rows and the Reading Desk now wrap onto another line instead of ending in dots. Card lines also sit at the same height across a row, so they are easy to scan.

Reading Desk rows show the next step

Rows on the Reading Desk now show your reading progress and the same next-step line as the cards, and their button does that step.

Reading now choices in one menu

The Slide or Type and Pages or % choices on Reading now have moved into a ⋯ menu beside the readout. Set them once and ARC Library remembers them.

Fixed

Delete several books at once again

Select books and the selection bar has a Delete button again, next to Edit selected. You confirm first and can Undo straight after.

Your filter choices save

Changes to your Library filters now save to your account every time, instead of sometimes being lost.

Spreadsheet-damaged ISBNs are skipped

An ISBN that a spreadsheet turned into a number like 9.78049E+12 is no longer used to look a book up. Those books import without an ISBN, and the import summary tells you how many.

Deleted books leave every device

A book you delete on one device now also disappears from your other devices after a refresh.

Pace reality check reads in full

The Pace reality check sentence is shorter and is never cut off halfway through a line.

Back closes the open pop-up

Android

On Android, the Back button now closes the pop-up you have open instead of the page behind it.

Smaller fixes

Deleting a book can also delete its draft review, the N versions tag is easy to read, and calendar agenda dates follow your date style. Percent progress and book counts read correctly, and a digital request shows its format.
