What’s New 3.1.2
Your library scrolls smoother and uses less data: covers now load only as they come into view, and the built-in placeholder covers are much lighter. Same cozy shelves, quicker to appear.

Version 3.1.2 brings 57 customer-facing changes to ARC Library. Role or platform labels appear only where a change is specific to that experience.
New
Notification Center 🔔
Deadline reminders now reach you on web and desktop too, not just on your phone.
Your Wrap-Up Comes to You
On the 1st of every month, a notification lands in your bell: "Your June wrap-up is ready 🧾", tap it and your reading receipt opens right there, already set to the month that just ended.
Monthly Wrap-Up: Your Reading Receipt 🧾
Ring up your reading month! Flip to the scrapbook pages, where every cover sits in a little taped-down polaroid with its title and stars, big months get as many pages as they need, and everything shares together as one carousel.
Deadline Autopilot on Your Dashboard
Your "What needs you today" card (and the mobile Due Soon card) now does the deadline math for you.
Home-Screen Widgets: Currently Reading, Reading Pace, Monthly TBR & Quick Actions
Android, iOS
Your reading life, right on your home screen: the Currently Reading widget shows covers, progress, and the pace you need per book; the Reading Pace widget puts your big "pages per day to stay on track" number front and center with your most urgent deadlines.
Customize Your Navigation Menu
Make the sidebar your own: you can now hide the features you don’t use so your menu stays focused on what you actually reach for. Dashboard always stays put so you can never lose your way home, and “Show all” brings everything back in one tap.
Drag to Update Your Progress
The new progress slider follows your theme, previews the exact value as you drag and keeps precise number inputs close by.
See a Book’s Full History
Each book’s detail now has an Activity timeline showing what you changed and when, added to your library, status changes, dates, ratings, reading progress, edits to the book’s details, notes, and the quotes and reviews you added.
See Exactly What’s Waiting to Sync
Tap the sync status and you can now expand “Waiting to sync” to see the actual list of changes that haven’t uploaded yet, which book or quote, and what kind of change, with a clear reason shown for anything that failed. Much easier to tell at a glance what’s stuck.
Improved
Lighter, Smoother Book Covers
Your library scrolls smoother and uses less data: covers now load only as they come into view, and the built-in placeholder covers are much lighter. Same cozy shelves, quicker to appear.
What's New Moved Into the Bell
Version announcements now arrive as a notification instead of a separate button, the update note still pops up once after each release, and you can revisit it anytime from the bell or Settings.
A Calendar Card That Fits Every Size
The dashboard calendar now fills its card at every size without awkward scrolling or cut-off weeks. Make it narrow and Month shows a tidy dotted calendar beside a running list of what's due; make it wide and clicking a day opens that day's tasks in a panel right next to the grid.
Hoopla Added as a Book Source
Borrow through Hoopla? You can now pick it as the source when you add a borrowed book, right alongside Libby and your library.
A Tidier Top Bar
The header got a polish: every button and pill now shares one consistent shape and style, and all the icons follow your theme colors properly, no more mismatched controls sitting side by side.
See Replies to Your Bug Reports
There’s now a "My Reports" page (under Settings) where anyone, not just testers, can follow the status of their reports and read replies from the team, with a badge that flags when there’s something new.
A Cleaner Monthly TBR Shelf
When a book stands face-out on your Monthly TBR shelf, the spot it left behind is now simply left empty instead of showing a dashed outline box, so nothing breaks up the look of the shelf.
Account Deletion That Keeps Its Word
Scheduling your account for deletion now shows a clear banner with the days remaining and a one-tap cancel, and asks you to cancel an active paid subscription first so you’re never charged for a deleted account.
Overdue Books Can Stay on Your Reading Pace
Now a missed review date falls back to the book's publication date, and a new "Count overdue books" option (in the card's ⋯ menu and in Settings) keeps overdue books visible with a clear Overdue label. The choice syncs across your devices.
Focus Your Reading Pace on What Matters
The Reading Pace card’s ⋯ menu (and Settings) gained two new filters: show only books still waiting on your review ("To Review"), and leave out your own personal (Non-ARC) books so the pace reflects just your review copies.
Calendar Card: The Month Stays Put
On smaller calendar card sizes, the whole card used to scroll, taking the month grid with it. Now the month grid stays pinned and only the events list scrolls, so you never lose sight of the calendar itself.
Choose Whether Requested Books Show Release Dates
A new calendar setting lets you hide publication dates for books you've only requested or wishlisted, keeping the calendar focused on books already in hand. Release dates stay on by default.
Little Polish Everywhere
Adding links inside reviews works on the desktop app again, quotes with special characters insert cleanly, calendar legend visibility choices are remembered across devices, your Gallery/List library view sticks, and dozens of smaller rough edges were smoothed out.
Dates Fill Themselves In as You Track
When you change a book’s status, the matching date now fills in for you: mark it Currently Reading and today becomes your start date; Finished sets your finish date; Reviewed, Promoted, Requested and Received stamp their dates too.
Fixed
Library "Due Soon" Now Agrees With Your Dashboard
The Library filter now uses the exact same deadline logic as your dashboard cards, so what you see coming up is what you get.
Smoother “Forgot Password”
Tapping “Lost your keys?” in the sign-in window now flips that same window straight to the reset-password step, instead of opening a separate page with the sign-in box still floating on top of it.
Onboarding, Sign-in & Profile Fixes
Finishing the setup wizard now tells you if something went wrong instead of quietly reappearing next time, and your in-progress setup no longer carries over to a different account on a shared device. Reliable Top Author stats no longer crown a blank "Unknown Author".
Quotes, Teams & Settings Polish
Re-importing a Kindle notebook no longer duplicates every quote, it skips the ones you already have and tells you how many.
Custom Filters That Actually Filter
Building filters on your phone now offers your real statuses (so a filter can match books again instead of coming up empty), the ownership filter matches by name, and "due in the next X days" includes books due today.
Currently Reading Card Grows Gracefully
Making the Currently Reading card taller now spreads your book's details across the extra room instead of piling empty space at the bottom, and the cover grows with the card too, so the medium and large sizes finally look proportional.
Bingo Squares That Play Fair
The 2026 Reading Bingo now scores honestly: "Finish 5/10 ARCs" squares complete when you actually reach that many books (not on your first finish), "Finish in time" credits the day you finished (so finishing early still counts even if you check the board later).
Celebrations on Your Phone, Too
Finishing, reviewing, or promoting a book now triggers the little celebration on phones and tablets, not just desktop, so the milestone toggles in Settings finally do something everywhere. And celebration messages read naturally instead of capitalizing a pronoun mid-sentence.
Sync Status That Tells the Truth
The sync badge no longer gets stuck saying changes are pending forever. If a change repeatedly can’t reach the server, the badge now says it failed and lets you retry or discard it, and once everything is safely synced, the badge quietly steps out of the way.
Your Plan, Shown Correctly
The subscription screen now shows the right price for every plan and billing cycle, yearly plans read "/year" instead of looking monthly, and the Rainbow Unicorn supporter tier gets its own badge and price instead of being mislabeled Premium.
Statistics You Can Finally Trust
Books you own in several formats now count once everywhere (finished counts, pages, ratings, wrap-up) while the format chart still shows every edition.
TBR Challenges You Can Actually Earn
Rescue Mission and Genre Buster badges now detect themselves automatically, Wheel Warrior counts honestly (one book per spin, same-day finishes included), badges celebrate the moment you earn them, and TBR Zero credits months you cleared even if you open the app later.
Recurring PR Tasks Behave
"Repeat 5 times" now actually ends after 5, completing a recurring task advances it the same way from every screen, and you can edit or stop a schedule on desktop too. Cleared fields (like the PR materials link) stay cleared.
Reviews Recover Themselves
If the app closes mid-edit, your unsaved review changes are restored the next time you open it. Mobile gains the "contains spoilers" toggle, copied reviews keep their paragraphs, and a deleted review shows a clear message instead of a fake editor.
Dashboard Numbers Match What They Open
The Due Soon pill, Today card, and calendar cards now count exactly what appears when you tap them. The activity timeline updates as you work, borrowed-book return dates show on the compact calendar, and dashboard notes open the keyboard on iPhone with one tap.
Author Pages for Co-Authors (and Unusual Names)
Co-authored books now appear on every co-author’s page, author names with special characters no longer crash, broken photos fall back to tidy initials, and search failures say so instead of pretending there are no results.
Reading Pace Only Counts Books You’re Still Reading
Books you’ve finished, marked DNF, or set to “Will Not Read” no longer show up on the Reading Pace card, there’s nothing left to pace on them, so the card stays focused on the reading you actually have ahead of you.
Smoother Dashboard Reordering on Mobile
In Edit Dashboard, rows now drag only from the ≡ handle, so scrolling the list with your finger works everywhere else. No more frozen sheet while rearranging cards.
Your Review Drafts Are Safe Now
Brand-new reviews are continuously saved as a local draft while you write, closing the tab, an app crash, or an accidental Back tap no longer loses your words. If something interrupts you, the draft is restored the next time you open the editor.
Clearing a Rating Actually Clears It
Removing a star or spice rating in the review editor now sticks, ratings no longer quietly reappear after a reload, and public reviews keep their original publish date while you edit them.
Imports No Longer Create Duplicates
Importing a spreadsheet twice (or retrying after a hiccup) no longer doubles your whole library, books you already have are recognised and skipped, and the import summary tells you exactly what was skipped.
Filters That Find Your Books Again
The Source and Ownership filters (and the “no spice” chip) were coming back empty no matter what you picked, they now match your books correctly.
Dates That Match Your Timezone
A family of “shows the day before” bugs is gone: PR task dates and countdowns, month groupings in the library and Creator Hub, TBR month labels, statistics drill-downs, and wizard summaries all respect your local timezone now.
Deadlines You Can Trust
Books due today no longer vanish from Due Soon counts, the phone dashboard shows the same deadlines as desktop (including finished books that still owe a review, and PR deadlines), and the calendar stops listing review deadlines for books you only requested.
TBR Wheel & Streak Fixes
The spin wheel now lands on the exact segment it announces, your monthly TBR streak no longer resets to zero on the 1st of each month, and deleting a PR task from the Creator Hub list works again.
Statistics That Add Up
Half-star ratings now count in the rating charts, the mobile rating chart shows your real numbers, tapping a top genre or provider on mobile lists the right books, and “Peak Reading Season” is based on when you actually finished books.
Statistics You Can Trust
A few numbers that could disagree with reality now line up: books you marked "Did Not Receive" no longer show up as overdue, your ARC success rate reads correctly when you view a single month (no more "received of 0 requested").
PR Company Picker Opens Ready to Go
When you add a PR task, the "PR Company" picker now shows your full list of providers the moment you open it, no more blank box that only filled in once you started typing.
Due Soon Won’t Get Stuck on "Overdue"
On your phone, once you cleared the last overdue deadline the Due Soon card could get stuck on an empty "Overdue" view with no way back. It now returns to your Upcoming list automatically.
Editing Forms in the Catalogue
The Edit and Delete buttons on shared team forms now appear only on forms you actually own, so you won’t hit a save that silently fails. And if a save ever can’t go through, you’ll now see a clear reason instead of nothing happening.
Monthly Wrap-Up Fits Above the Dock
On phones, the Monthly Wrap-Up’s month picker could sit behind the bottom navigation bar. The receipt now keeps clear of the dock and the home indicator, so you can always reach the month arrows.
No More Frozen Taps on Android
On some Android phones the app could get “stuck” after nudging the reading-progress slider on the Currently Reading card, you could still scroll, but taps stopped working until you force-quit. The slider now always lets go of the touch cleanly, so buttons keep responding.
No More Phantom "Failed Updates"
Each saved change now clears itself from that list the moment it syncs, so the count stays honest and you won’t see phantom failures pile up.
Deleting a Brand-New Book No Longer Gets Stuck
Completed sync items now clear themselves automatically. Deleting a new book before it syncs also leaves nothing stuck in the queue.
