Reliability & Display Fixes — ARC Library Field Notes

What’s New 3.0.3

Fixed the “has an accountability form” and “filled out the form” switches on a book's Reviews section not responding on phone, they'd tap but never actually slide on or off. They now toggle reliably (and the author-tagging switch too).

Version 3.0.3 brings 12 customer-facing changes to ARC Library. Role or platform labels appear only where a change is specific to that experience.

New

Request Multiple Formats on One ARC

You can now request ebook, audiobook and physical formats on one ARC entry. Edit the requested formats anytime from the book details on phone or desktop.

Fixed

Accountability Form Toggles Work on Phone

Fixed the “has an accountability form” and “filled out the form” switches on a book's Reviews section not responding on phone, they'd tap but never actually slide on or off. They now toggle reliably (and the author-tagging switch too).

Edit PR Tasks Instead of Starting Over

You can now fix a typo or update the due date or link on a PR task without deleting it and starting from scratch, just tap the task on your book's Tracking tab to edit it in place.

Audiobook + Print Add as One Book, Not Two

When adding a book and an audiobook version is detected, both versions now correctly group under the same book as switchable editions, instead of creating two separate copies in your library. Existing duplicates aren't touched, but new adds are now handled properly.

Add Book: Version Options Always Available

Fixed a bug where the Add Book screen could show "No format options available" for the required Version field, leaving you unable to finish adding the book. Physical, Ebook, and Audiobook are now always offered.

Cleaner Sharing Platforms in Add Book

Removed the cramped, unreliable "Add custom platform" button from the Add Book screen's sharing list. You can still manage and add your own platforms anytime from Settings and on a book's detail page.

Bug Reports Submit More Reliably

Sending a bug report, especially with screenshots from your phone, is now far more dependable.

Editing a Catalogue Form Now Saves

Edits to a book in your Forms Catalogue now save reliably, including its cover, even when the entry has no request link. Previously a change could quietly fail to save with no warning.

Your Uploaded Covers Show in Due Soon

A cover you uploaded yourself now appears on the Due Soon card on your phone, just like it already does on the book's page. Before, those cards could fall back to a generic placeholder.

Currently Reading Looks Right on Tablets

The Currently Reading card now lays out neatly on tablets, the cover sits tidily beside the details instead of overlapping the progress and stats. Your reading numbers are easy to read again.

Changes to Brand-New Books Save Reliably

When you add a book and immediately edit it, change its progress, mark it read, or save a quote, those changes now save dependably instead of occasionally only sticking until you refreshed.

New Authors, Publishers & Series Go Through Review

When you catalogue a book with an author, publisher, or series we don't have yet, it's now submitted for review like everything else, instead of being added straight to the shared book database.
