Dashboard Personalization & Fixes — ARC Library Field Notes

What’s New 3.0.2

The card transparency setting now affects every card on your phone dashboard. Currently Reading, Quick Actions, Calendar and Due Soon used to stay solid while the rest turned see-through, now they all match your chosen transparency.

Version 3.0.2 brings 8 customer-facing changes to ARC Library. Role or platform labels appear only where a change is specific to that experience.

New

Custom PR Tasks on a Book (Premium)

iOS, Android

On a book's Tracking tab, you can now jot your own PR tasks, like a release-day blast, with a due date that reminds you (just like reviews and promotions do), a tick-box to mark it done, and a link to drop your post as proof.

Improved

Edit Dashboard: Transparency & Background in One Place

iOS, Android

Your phone dashboard's “Reorder” sheet is now “Edit Dashboard.” Right alongside dragging cards and hiding them, you can now set how see-through your cards are and switch the theme's background picture on or off, no digging through Settings.

Fixed

Card Transparency Applies to Every Dashboard Card

iOS, Android

The card transparency setting now affects every card on your phone dashboard. Currently Reading, Quick Actions, Calendar and Due Soon used to stay solid while the rest turned see-through, now they all match your chosen transparency.

Borrowed & Personal Books Show in Due Soon

Library loans and other personal books with a return date now appear in your phone's Due Soon card, and books due back are clearly tagged "Return". Before, books you weren't reviewing or promoting could quietly disappear from Due Soon even though they still had a date coming up.

Bold & Italics Stick in Form Blurbs

Bold and italics now work in an ARC sign-up form's book blurb, paste a formatted blurb and it keeps its styling, and the form shows it formatted just like your library does. The form used to quietly strip the formatting out.

Renamed Built-in Filters Show Your Name Everywhere

When you rename a built-in filter (like Currently Reading or Borrowed), the Custom Filters settings now shows your new name too, it used to keep showing the original name there even though your Library filter bar already used the new one.

Steady Monthly TBR Bookshelf

iOS, Android

The cozy bookshelf on your phone dashboard no longer flickers or jumps while you scroll, it now settles into a stable shelf and stays put.

Hide the Request-Forms Badge, Reliably

The setting that hides the little red “new forms” count on the Forms Catalogue now stays hidden everywhere and across your devices, the sidebar, bottom navigation and the More menu all respect it.
