Oooh, boy, what can I say about this book? It was a wild ride from start to finish, that's for sure. I absolutely loved everything about it. Why Choose is kinda the best of both worlds and the spice was on point . I devoured this book over the course of two days.
The Songbird of Goldcrest kept me engaged right from the beginning with Finch's background to that crazy ending! I haven't read many Why Choose (though I want to!), but this was by far the best in terms of relationships and who they all progressed. Each relationship Finch was in progressed so smoothly, with wonderful character development, communication, and growth of everyone involved. (Except for Gareth, but he'll get there, his head is just a little fuzzy!)
The plot was good and flowed very well. The world-building was incredibly vast and woven in quite wonderfully throughout the story. I'm intrigued by The Shade, it's a very interesting villain and I can't wait to learn more about it in the coming books.
The spicy scenes were, of course, spicy . Steamy and full of consent, communication, and love. Truly the best kind of spice in my opinion. Gotta love when everyone communicates!
I fell in love with Finch and her boys. Salem is so cute and shy, and I was so glad when the two of them finally communicated and got on the same page. Roan is now my fictional boyfriend and I'll die for him. Strong, polyamorous, accepting, and willing to do anything in order to protect the people he loves? Count me in 😘
Thanks so much to Pix for allowing me to be an ARC reader of this lovely book! Sorry it's a bit late, but life, what can you do? 🤷‍♂️ Cheers to the next book, I can't wait!!
