He writes across a massive spectrum of genres, spanning from the deep-lore high fantasy of The Naturali Compendium to the sharp-bladed contemporary hockey romance of Lost Little Birds. James is studying Special Education at Coppin State University in Baltimore. When he isn't hitting the textbooks or brewing new book concepts, he can be found spending time with his young daughter, a Belgian Malinois named Chloe, and a cat named Artemis.
