Guide
A quick orientation to the three customer desks and the shared library behind them.

ARC Library brings your reading, reviewing, promotion, and book-campaign work into one account.
Three desks, one account
- Reader is where you track books, deadlines, reviews, teams, and reading activity.
- Author is where eligible authors manage their profile, books, request forms, readers, and teams.
- PA is where a personal assistant manages their professional profile and works with connected authors.
If your account has more than one desk, use the desk switcher in navigation. Choosing a desk takes you to its home page and changes the destinations you see; it does not remove your other work.
A good first visit
- Open Reader and add the book you are currently reading.
- Visit Settings to choose your theme, reading comfort, and preferred starting desk.
- If you are an Author or PA, open that desk and follow its setup prompts.
Create from wherever you are
On a desk home page, choose Add New. On a phone, a compact bookplate labeled Quick create opens above the plus button with the dimmed background continuing behind navigation; on a tablet or computer, the fuller version opens beside the sidebar button. The list keeps book, content, and reading actions in clear groups, and Premium actions explain what they unlock. Testing Team accounts also see Report Bug and Submit Idea, which open the matching form without leaving the current page.
Pages with one obvious task skip the list. For example, Log New Book in Library opens the book flow directly. Pages without an honest create task do not show an Add New control.
Keep controls clear on a phone
ARC Library keeps page headers below the notch, status bar, or Dynamic Island and keeps bottom actions above the home indicator or gesture bar. Full-screen book and team flows, detail pages, dialogs, and expanded shelves also stay inside the rounded left and right edges, including when you choose larger app text. When you close a multi-choice shelf with unapplied changes, its Keep editing and Discard choices stay in the visible scrolling area. You should not need to rotate the phone or scroll behind a dialog to reach a close, back, save, or continue control.
Open the Help Desk
On a tablet or larger screen, select the ? beside Search in the app header. On a phone, open Settings → Help Desk. From there you can search Guides, report a problem, request a feature, check your reports, open Onboarding & hints, or browse What’s New from the shelf list.
Read What’s New without the repeats
What’s New is an edited release digest, so one product change appears once even when it received several rounds of polish and fixes. The in-app view shows the shared notes plus the Reader, Author, or PA details that belong to your current desk; the public release article labels role-specific changes.
Your private books, notes, drafts, and account information stay inside your account unless you deliberately publish something through a public profile or public page.
