Claim or connect your author identity, follow verification, and understand when author tools unlock.

Author HQ is the home of the Author desk.
Connect your author identity
Follow the setup prompts to find or claim the correct public author profile. The verification flow gives you a time-limited code and the available ways to confirm that identity. Submit the requested proof, then return to Author HQ to follow the status.
The progress indicator names the current step and all search, author, website, email, social, and verification fields have a clear label. Pending verification actions are large enough to use comfortably on phone, tablet, or desktop. If a pending request already exists, reopening the flow restores it instead of asking you to submit the same claim again.
While verification is pending
Author HQ stays available so you can see the pending state. Tools that change books, forms, or teams can remain locked until approval is complete. A locked destination takes you back to the status screen rather than granting access early.
After approval, use the Author desk for your books, request forms, readers, and teams. The gramophone marks PA Connections when you need to find or manage assistant relationships. Some advanced tools also require Author Pro.
Edit your public Author profile
Open Profiles, choose Author, then update your photo, banner, author name, pen name, biography, website, newsletter, or social links. Invalid links stay unsaved and explain what needs fixing. A successful save is announced, and reopening the profile reads the saved values back.
Delete an Author profile
Open Profiles, choose Author, then select Remove, or scroll to the deletion panel inside the Author profile editor. The confirmation cancels pending Author claims, ends PA access, removes your ownership, and makes the public Author page private. Shared catalogue books and reader application history remain safe, and your Reader Library is unchanged.
