Guide
Choose your theme, reading comfort, interface tone, navigation, and Library layout.

Settings lets you shape ARC Library around the way you read and work.
Start with Basic settings
On web and tablet, Basic settings opens the Essential Control Desk. It brings together the information ARC Library needs to work well: your current plan, the desks you use and where the app opens, role-specific setup guidance, reading comfort, local reminder timing, and account readiness.
Use a summary's Edit action when you need the complete controls. On web, every detailed settings page remains in the Settings sidebar. On tablet, All settings keeps every grouped destination below the control desk and opens each one as a focused touch-friendly page.
Phone Settings keeps its familiar one-column landing. Subscription, setup guidance, and every ordinary settings category remain visible there instead of being replaced by the control desk.
Reader setup checks update automatically from the settings they represent: your desks and starting workspace, reading comfort, Reader Dashboard, and reminders. You do not need to tick them yourself. Once all four are ready, the setup guidance leaves Settings so the finished checklist does not take up space; every setting remains available in its usual section.
Comfort and appearance
Use Theme & reading comfort for your theme, font, text size, and other visual comfort choices. Use Interface for tone, typography details, and celebrations. Open Help Desk → Learning when you want to replay setup or page hints.
Navigation and layout
Use Navigation to choose visible and pinned destinations. Use Library & layout for collection presentation and related display choices. Choose your eligible starting desk from Account & workspace.
In Library, open the settings gear at the top on web, desktop, tablet, or phone. One Library settings surface now groups the workspace that opens first with the default Collection tab, appearance, browsing style, hidden book states, series stacks, custom filters, and book defaults. Hiding a state changes the grid only; it does not delete a book.
Settings that affect your account are saved so they can follow you across devices. If a Day or Night appearance save is interrupted, overlaps another account setting, or finishes while your profile is still loading, ARC Library keeps the choice on that device until the first profile load is reconciled. Refreshing the page does not replace it with the older appearance, and an interrupted save is retried on the next load. A few device-specific appearance choices can remain local when using different devices in different environments.
