Understand what changes when you switch desks and how to choose where the app opens.

Your desk controls which part of ARC Library is foregrounded in navigation.
Switch desks
On larger screens, use the desk switcher in the sidebar. On a phone, open More and choose a desk at the top of the sheet.
Reader is always available. Author and PA appear only when the related account access is available. Choosing Reader opens your Reader home, Author opens Author HQ, and PA opens PA Home. On a phone, the More sheet closes after you choose. Notification badges stay connected during the change, so switching desks does not require a reload.
This keeps the page and navigation in the same workspace, so you cannot accidentally remain on an Author page after moving to PA or Reader. Switching desks does not add permissions, remove a profile, or change your subscription.
Choose a starting desk
Open Settings → Account & workspace to choose which eligible desk ARC Library should open first. You can also hide a customer desk you do not use. Hiding a desk changes your navigation; it does not delete its information or change permissions.
