Misunderstandings and confusion begin the story of Autumn Season and Brandon Culver. Growing up in a small town means that everyone knows one another and everyone grew up together. But what happens when someone is injured on the job and has amnesia? What happens if the memories pertain specifically to the one person whose job is to nurse the patient back to health? Autumn is not prepared (and neither was I, honestly) for the sudden change in her life when she’s tasked with being Brandon’s nurse. The two have a complicated past but maybe it’s time to set things right since he can’t remember her.
Yours Truly, Fall threw me for a loop. The story drew me in immediately (hello, small-town romance!) and the sort of childhood frenemies to lovers absolutely tugged at my heartstrings but I wasn’t quite prepared for the amnesia bit. I enjoyed being able to unravel more of Autumn and Brandon’s past as the two got to know one another more as adults. It was interesting to see two sides of a story not just as dual-pov but what that actually looks like when one person cannot remember the other while also seeing their second chance and actively choosing to take their chance on it.
Thank you so much to Luna Literary Management and S.L. Scott for the gifted ARC. All opinions are my own!
