I went through this book like it was water! When I seen it was for fans who like Lights Out, I knew I just had to read it. While it wasn’t anywhere close to Lights Out, I still enjoyed this book. Izzy, the FMC, has an insufferable jackass for a boyfriend (Evan). While Evan thinks that his body shaming and destroying Izzy’s self confidence would make her stay with him, she finally wises up and dumps him after some time. Callahan comes in to help transform the security of the department store Izzy runs. This book has some unexpected surprises and twists. The spice level would be about a 3/5. The witty banter with Amanda, the laugh out loud moments and the chat with Caleb totally rounded out this book perfectly. Perfect dark rom com that will have you turning pages faster than you would imagine.
