This book was such a fun, wild, murder-filled ride! A crime reporter with a thirst for revenge and an unhealthy candy obsession? Check. A socially awkward, golden retriever stalker? Check. A secret society of serial unalivers with a moral code? Check. Me staying up way past my bedtime to keep reading because I didn’t want to put it down? CHECK.
The Hemlock Society has a strict set of rules which Xander can’t keep himself from breaking. The reason? His latest stalking victim Oakley and her oh-so epic murder board. Will she survive being Xander’s favorite target? Possibly...if her candy obsession doesn’t kill her first.
If you liked Butcher & Blackbird and Lights Out , you'll love this one! K.N. Wilder takes you on one hell of a dark, sexy ride - the banter and dark humor grabbed you right from the get-go and it was all gas and no brakes through the end. There aren't many books that make you root for the "bad guys" but the Hemlock Society will have you wanting to fill out a membership form. I seriously couldn't get enough of Xander and Oakley's dynamic and the obsession and tension were top tier - oh, and the spice? SPICY .
I loved peeking behind the doors of the Hemlock Society and I can't wait for book 2!
