Like Felicia does I didn’t read the first book in this series. Now you do miss out on so many details. I will be going back to see how Sutton and Cain story started but Bri is amazing author and is able to tell a story where for whatever reason you missed book one you could still follow along in book two. This was a very slow burn. Had a lot of twist and turns and need answers that I might find in book one or just have to wait for book three after that cliffhanger.
