A Witch and Her Vampire is a deliciously steamy, slow-burn romance — and if you're in the mood to sink into pure yearning, this one delivers. The writing is where it truly shines: the author's descriptive style is gorgeous, and the academic setting completely pulled me in. I genuinely felt like I was walking the halls of the academy myself. The descriptions of the seasons and shifting weather built such a rich, immersive atmosphere that I felt like part of the world.
The heart of this book is the tension — her wanting him, him wanting her, and all the deliciously frustrating reasons they each think it's a terrible idea. The first half leans hard into that push-and-pull and the internal "we shouldn't" of it all, so if you love a drawn-out, simmering build, you'll be right at home. I personally found myself wishing for a touch more plot woven through the longing to balance the pacing — but the spice and the yearning are absolutely there.
If you're craving a smutty, atmospheric little tale of a witch and her vampire, this is a lovely pick.
