Archer Chadwick is a single-dad and while he is doing amazing raising his daughter Melody, it’s evident that he needs help and he needs it fast. Enter, Winnie Smith. Winnie is the perfect nanny and little Melody absolutely adores her. Winnie loves working with Melody and being part of the small town especially after everything she’s been through. Although Archer has reservations when it comes to Winnie because she’s a decade younger, he finds himself increasingly drawn to her.
I had fun with Whisper Sweet Nothings and was definitely not expecting it to be so meta, which admittedly, made it all that more engaging for me. I really enjoyed seeing Winnie and Archer working together and apart especially when it came to trying to figure themselves out. The story is lighthearted and the banter between all the characters fits who they are so well. It’s clear that they all care about one another and that they each recognize each other for the fighters they are.
Thank you so much to Laura Pavlov and Valentine PR for the gifted ARC! All opinions are my own.
