What did I just read? One of My Patients Is a Vampire was strange, dark, hilarious, emotional and completely different from anything I expected!
From the moment a mysterious child tells Dr. Ian Greyson that one of his patients is a vampire, and then a bloodless body is discovered outside his office, I needed to know what was going on.
Ian’s sarcastic personality and inner thoughts had me laughing out loud so many times. He is complicated, emotionally damaged and definitely questionable when it comes to professional boundaries, but underneath all that sarcasm is someone who cares deeply. Then there’s Alexandra. She is brilliant, mysterious, compassionate, and just dangerous enough to make you question what she might be capable of.
I loved the connection between Ian and Alexandra. It was intense, emotional, a little inappropriate and strangely beautiful. The more I learned about them, the more invested I became in their relationship and everything happening around them.
The supporting characters were just as unforgettable. Some brought the most completely unhinged and hilarious moments, while others added so much heart to the story.
Between the murders, vampires, medical horror, romance, spice, dark humor, and unexpected twists, this book gave me a little bit of everything. Every time I thought I understood what was happening, another surprise changed everything.
