What a unique and magnificent story. I cannot express how much I loved this book... it was everything! The characters were fascinating, not only the main ones but everyone in the story had their own special place. Not to mention the unique sigil magic, Bea's torment, Brennen's suffering, their yearning, and all the mystery and secrets around the River and the Fates. And it wasn't until the very end that I could breathe again. And now I need the sequel, of course, with that mind-blowing cliffhanger!
