Book: Web of Vows and Vengeance by Aria Ashbrook

Web of Vow and Vengeance hooked me from the very first page and didn’t let go until long after the last page was turned. This book ticked all the boxes…
Badass FMC
Broody, smoking hot MMC
Deadly trials that are ACTUALLY deadly
Intricate world building
Heart wrenching moments that make you audibly GASP
The world building in the book as actual perfection and I loved that we as a reader are introduced to the world as the characters are. It makes for a much more immersive experience.
What makes this book stand out is how seamlessly it blended high stakes magic with deeply personal conflict. Every vow felt heavy, every choice felt dangerous, and every moment of trust felt like it could shatter at any time. Ashbrook doesn’t just build a world. They weave a trap of loyalties, lies, and longing that the characters get completely caught up in. And so does the reader. It almost feels like you are another character experiencing the events in real time.
The FMC, Rose, is fantastic. She is vulnerable in so many ways, but her determination to succeed always shines through. She navigates a labyrinth of emotional turmoil and political intrigue in such a way that feels wholly human, which really helped me engage with her. Furthermore, she forges bonds and relationships out of sheer desperation and necessity and these evolve into true bonds of friendship and love.
“You are still a thorn in my side, and I want you from the moment I wake, through every breath I take, until the moment I go to sleep.”
And the pacing? Impeccable. Twists land with complete precision, revelations are gut wrenching, and the tension builds in a way that makes your heart race without ever feeling chaotic.
Web of Vows and Vengeance is perfect for readers who crave their fantasy with teeth, their romance with stakes, and characters who feel like they could step off the page. It’s immersive, emotional, and wickedly satisfying. It truly is a tale that will linger long after you have turned the final page.
I cannot wait to read Vows of Blood and Deception – the second installment of The Hirathean Path .
