⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)

Book me a one-way ticket to Blue River Springs because apparently, I need to fall in love with a wounded cowboy.

I love sexy, broken men, and Dallas Thorne absolutely delivers. He’s learning to live (and love) again after losing his fiancée while fighting to keep the daughter he just discovered. Gruff, protective, and all-in once he commits? Walking. Dream. It’s easy to see why Willow lowers her walls for him.

And Willow? I love that she’s so multi-faceted. She’s determined to protect herself so she never has to rely on anyone again, yet she’s a natural caregiver who wants to feel needed. She has the confidence and swagger to sing for bar crowds, but only a small inner circle she lets close. I especially loved that she’s given the space to be fully herself — and that Dallas loves her for exactly who she is.

Together, Dallas and Willow just work. The snarky banter? Top tier. The simmering heat? Very real. But what really sells them is the mutual protection and trust. At the end of the day, they put their little family (including Dallas’s daughter, Ellie) first, no hesitation. They face heavy realities — grief, custody battles, complicated pasts — head-on and together, which makes them feel like a couple built to last.

This is the second book in the Blue River Springs series, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. I will absolutely be revisiting this town again.
