VENATOR MORTIS is a why-choose gothic romance. We are introduced to Olive, known as the Widow who k!ll$ predatory men. She safeguards women and children from ‌harm. We also encounter Edward and Alcott, brothers who work as @ss@ssins for the Collector. Additionally, Laz roams, eliminating men who abuse women of the night.

The book turned out to be better than I had anticipated. I really enjoyed the interactions between the main characters. My favorite character in the book is Laz. He added some much-needed humour to this bleak tale. It was a fascinating interpretation of a gothic romance that included an appearance from Jack the Ripper. Man, the ending really broke my heart.
