Book: Pandora's Serpent by Augustine Kent

I have never felt so conflicted about a book.
I think this has sooooo much potential with the characters and parts of the plot. There were some interesting twists, and I enjoyed the aspects surrounding Janessa and Varku’s relationship relative to one another. The general idea of the ending was also something I found intriguing.
Where this book falls short for me is the general flow of the story. In places, it reads choppy. Others, it feels rushed. I also don’t think the time gaps are made clear in certain areas, so it left me confused as to how certain characters aged/where we were in the world.
If you’re looking for strictly a vibe read, I could see this checking your box. Mainly the banter and interaction between Janessa and Varku. The rest of it gets easily muddled and breaks up the flow of the story.
