Effie Campbell has smashed it again. This time we have Eliza, the most bada$s, lethal, woman contract k1ller (and Maggie's sister from book one) and James, another extremely good at his job contract k1ller, stepbrother, and DOWN BAD hottie. This is the second in the Killer Kin series and can definitely be read as a standalone...but why would you want to miss one second of this family??
As I have come to expect, the wit and sarcasm is absolutely top notch. All of the characters are unhinged in the way I can never stand to miss. "I am near sweating with the effort of keeping my gaze from his genitals." Yup. I can't even with how much I love these UNHINGED Dark Rom Coms.
"'You could cut me,' I say, 'as often with your knife as with your words, and I'd still come back for more.'"
Make sure you are reading trigger warnings ahead of time because this book is filled with death and mvrder, usually in the most hilarious and off the wall ways. Like James, I will always come back for more....matter of fact I am counting the minutes until #3 is released lol.
