AUDIO BOOK IS THE ONLY WAY TO DEVOUR THIS BOOK!! THE DUAL NARRATION I PERFECTLY CAST!

𝔸𝕦𝕕𝕚𝕠 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕨:
This was a fast paced read and the audiobook just brought it to lie. The narrators were perfectly cast and pushed the characters emotions through like they with their own.
The female narrator portrayed the FMC with brutality, allowing no confusion or doubt that her personality is resilient, independent, and downright unbreakable, even with a turbulent past and so much awful luck finding her. When reading this from the page you could almost turn Serena into a hurt, broken and passive woman but the narration controlled her temperament with ease, ensuring every listener knew she was a willing and active participant in her life.

I highly recommend the audiobook version because it pulls out the realness in this twisted, dark, love story. I also found the audio Brought to life the hauntingly Gothic vibe.

Both main characters had their own personalities and the dual narration really captured the steamy and volatile chemistry between them both. in addition there was the secret world that collided into both of them and brought them together. The male narrator is now on my top three list of all time because his performance was absolute perfection. He truly captured Dimitri’s Dark side, along with his possessive nature, his twisted mind, his extreme kinks, and obsession towards the FMC. Every emotion that the MMC went through wasn’t just heard through my ears, but fell through to my heart, into my soul and vibrated all the way through to my fingertips. It almost felt like the narrator had already lived this world and simply brought his own memories to life by recounting his personal history. -when I talk about truly perfect casting, this is what I mean!

🌍 𝕎𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 𝕓𝕦𝕚𝕝𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘, 𝕨𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕡𝕒𝕔𝕚𝕟𝕘:
The Story was immediately engaging and grabbed me-sat me down, and forced me to listen to this world of a powerful secret society and their dark dealings. There is a huge amount of trigger warnings on this one so do browse the menu, because nothing can be skipped. I love the main plot because it was beautifully layered with great detail and intriguing sub plots all the way through.

I actually reached out to the author because I couldn’t get over how much I truly enjoyed this book. The emotional damage and trauma healing was perfection- completely next level, and I just had to let her know this. The spice was absolutely delicious, all hot rough rot with passion and even includes the nearest things they can grab. I loved the dom- sub power dynamic, but even more I loved that he is a biker. This brings a whole other edge to the obsessive possessive Strong MMC vibe. And it’s all in perfect balance with the amount of plot, world building and character development, I mean talk about amazing best friends- just wow!

🧝‍♂️ ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕤:
This is a very dark read where characters have a traumatic past and more trauma to come in the future. The individual character growth was strong but stronger still when they came together the trauma healing was enjoyable to read representing foster care and friendship in a deep and profound way.

Dimitri is the poster boy for Morley black MMC. He does terrible things he wants to do worse things. He skirts the law to get what he wants and offers. No apologies. He is out for revenge and hunting for answers and through this we get to see just how Rudy moody dark depraved and dangerous he really is.

The FMC is strong, independent, and has the fortitude to stand up for herself and what she believes in. there’s no damsel in distress in this story, regardless of how much Dimitri wants to save her. Serena is the name of the FMC, it’s great to have so many details on a character to build a foundation on and I really connected with her. She was so sassy and feisty. She was a girls girl and totally independent intelligent and strong.

One of my favourite parts about this book was the best friend. She is a very detailed side character with her own thing going on the banter between all the characters was brilliant but there was just something about the best friend that grabbed me and I so hope to get more in the next book.

😥 𝕎𝕙𝕪 𝕟𝕠 𝕗𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕤?
It’s really small and personal, basically I just wanted more history and answers, I wanted to feel more towards her mother or father or foster family, I wanted more depth in those past relationships and the secrets surrounding her so that the twists would have smacked me in the face more. I felt so strongly bout the 3 main characters that I was a little disappointed not to feel FOR THEM more when it came to their families. The next book will be incredible, I just know know it.

This book is best suited for listeners who crave extreme dark romance with plenty of smut and kink adventure. You also get a Gothic backdrop, so many twists, friendship, banter, and high stakes terror that blend together seamlessly and create this masterpiece.

I managed to finish it but it was rubbish. I won't keep a physical copy and won't recommend it, but it's a shame as the plot could have made a good book in another author's hands

It was OK. I wish I didn't start this one as it didn't do it for me as I struggled to read it. It had an interesting premise that fell flat but I had to see what happened in the end.

I don't regret reading it, and I will read the next one, but this one did have a few flaws. [These could be repetitive writing, gaps or plot holes, better character growth or world building, areas needing more detail]
Generally, the book lacked depth and became confusing. The plot resonated with me even though it annoyed me on the whole.

I'm glad I read it. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to the right people, but I wanted more! Sadly, it's easily forgettable with a few issues I just couldn't overlook/get past.

Good book! I loved it, but... I needed more! I really did enjoy it, but it had a few parts that needed more detail or added history/background or lore. But that's because the story or characters were memorable, and the plot was strong with brilliant twists. I would re-read if I needed to catch up for the next book and would recommend.

This is my God level tier. The book must be perfectly memorable. Even after reading 50+ more books, I will remember character names and emotions along with the plot. If there is a special edition, then I need to own it! If there is a conversation on books- I'm talking about this!
