Book: To Be Taught, If Fortunate by Becky Chambers

I went into this expecting something closer to Becky Chambers' other sci-fi books, which it decidedly isn't - so that's on me. Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful entry to her repertoire and I enjoyed it once I got into what was actually going on - I was expecting an existentialist reflection on humanity through encounters with a sentient Other, this is an existentialist reflection on humanity and on being/becoming the Other. So while I'll likely come back to this at some point in the distant future, I think I can say "it's really good - look up where the title comes from, and take it as it is without any expectations or predictions, and you'll love it as it should be loved."
