"Because Monsters Kill Kings" 🔥
Whew!!! This book was a ride and a half, and one I absolutely did NOT want to get off! 😂 I am completely obsessed with the way Samantha Vargas tells stories, and this series is definitely shaping up to be one that will stay with me forever.
The Ashborn was a brilliant, gripping read from start to finish. Prophecies, soul bonds, war scenes that had me gripping the edge of my seat, dark creatures... THERE IS SO MUCH HAPPENING! And I am obsessed with the way each book gives you so much while somehow leaving you with even MORE questions and a desperate need for the next book!
Kienna is such a strong force of nature, and I have loved her since book one. I cannot wait to see where this story takes her by the end. She has been through absolute hell and back, but her will to fight never fades. If anything, it only gets stronger.
The Guardians of Alistile is a complex bunch that will have you loving them, hating them, questioning them, and resonating with them. Their found family dynamic tugs on the heartstrings in ALL the right ways. 🥹 As for the villains in this story, I don't think you will find one's you detest more than these ones because wow!
Samantha Vargas is a brilliant mastermind. The way she weaves together lore, betrayal, heartbreak, prophecies and unanswered questions had me so deeply immersed and invested that I completely lost all sense of time and space.
I need the REST of this series. Not just the next book. THE REST. 😂 Because I can already tell all these little Easter eggs and unanswered questions are leading to a reveal that is going to absolutely BLOW MY MIND.
