Captivating. Gripping from page one. Lucy Kline, Necromancer had me saying, “Just one more chapter,” while simultaneously making me think twice about checking my windows at night. 👀
This story is a fun, creepy mash-up of murder mystery, ghost story, occult horror, and a surprisingly poignant exploration of grief. Two years after Lucy’s twin sister, Louisa, disappears and is presumed dead, another teenage girl who looks remarkably like Louisa goes missing. Then the nightmares begin—and Lucy finds herself pulled back into a mystery she thought was already solved.
I loved how the story balances the investigation with the supernatural elements and Lucy’s struggle to come to terms with the guilt and grief she’s carried for years. The result is an entertaining, eerie read that keeps the pages turning and the questions coming.
