Hear me out….this book dragon was sold on this just by the dragons and the sword 🤭🤷🏻♀️
Another genuine shocker is that one of the things I loved most was that there was no female lead or romance, just straight up high fantasy! 👀 As someone who enjoys romantasy, I never thought I’d be so happy to read a book without either of those things taking center stage. Instead, the story focuses on a brotherly bond, and I really enjoyed that change of pace.
We follow Viktor, a Dragon Rider who genuinely cares about his team and would do just about anything to protect them. He’s the kind of character who puts the people around him first, and I really loved that about him. His loyalty and sense of responsibility make him so easy to root for, especially as he finds himself caught up in a dangerous mystery that threatens everything he knows.
The adventure and mystery really take over in this story . Between the suspicious deaths, political corruption, dangerous secrets, and dragons, there’s so much to uncover. I found myself drawn into the mystery and wanting to know what was really going on. It’s a really good thing @cdmckenna1 was there to hold my hand through the twists and turns that…..shookith meeee! You know what you did.
