Oh my, I absolutely loved this audiobook! I listened to it in three days, and I’m still completely amazed by these narrators.
First things first book itself: I ate up the banter, the chemistry, and the yearning in this book. I simply could not handle it, in the best possible way. My brain went wild for it, and I couldn’t put my headphones down. My house has never been this clean because, yes, I listen while cleaning. 😂
The opposites-attract dynamic worked so incredibly well. I also enjoyed whole magic system but lets be honest the romance was my driving force for this one. This was everything I wanted from an audiobook right now and I will not shut up about it for long time.
Now, let’s talk about the narrators.
Christy Woods and Derek Duvall are an absolutely killer combination. Derek very quickly flew to one of the top spots on my narrator leaderboard because of how expressive and intense his performance was. I fell in love with his character thanks to his fantastic portrayal of the Lucien.
Christy did an equally fantastic job as the FMC. I expected a wonderfully sunshiny performance for Kleos, but she still caught me by surprise from her very first chapter. I immediately fell in love with her voice and how expressive her narration was.
A definite 10/10. I wholeheartedly recommend this audiobook!
