ARC REVIEW
Unbound by Peyton Corinne
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

This book is one of the easiest five-star ratings I’ve ever given. Bennett and Paloma absolutely wrecked me. I’m talking tears streaming, staying up until 2 am to finish because I needed to see their love story work out.

Bennett is one of the most gentle, good-hearted men I’ve ever read. I spent the entire book wanting to wrap him in a hug and never let go. He deserves to be protected from the world — including himself. His mental health makes him incredibly hard on himself, almost unbearably at times. It broke my heart to read how he sees himself, especially in relation to Paloma and Rhys.

Speaking of broken hearts — Paloma. I knew there was more behind her party-girl facade because those are the kinds of characters Peyton Corinne excels at writing, but I was not prepared for how deeply moving her traumatic backstory would be. Or how fiercely she loves Bennett, even when she believes he’s better off without her. She goes through so much at such a young age. I couldn’t help but want to save her.

Told in dual timelines, Bennett and Paloma’s first and second chances at love were achingly beautiful. We see the tenderness of first love alongside the difficulty of finding each other again after years of hurt and unspoken feelings. Their present-day love is so hard-earned and deeply deserved.

I am obsessed with Peyton Corinne’s writing, and Unbound proves once again that she knows how to create characters who break your heart and put it back together again. I can’t wait for Toren to wreck me next.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for providing an ARC!
