Rebecca Ross can do no wrong in my eyes... there are a handful of authors whose work inspire me to wax poetic about their prose, and she is one of them. You know how sometimes you come across a book that you simultaneously are anxious to see how the story unfolds but also don't want it to be over? I've felt that way about every book I've read from the author.
Vincent and Matilda emotionally wrecked me for the real world. The romance has all the yearning and pining and emotion I love in classic literature from a modern author who's still giving us more books. I saw someone describe Wild Reverence as hauntingly beautiful prose that ruins you beautifully, and I can't think of a better description than that.
“My home is your home. My arms are a haven for you to rest. My last name is yours if you desire it. I will love you to my grave, and even beyond it.”
^this is the depth of emotion I love in Wuthering Heights but with characters who aren't toxic horrible people.
I'm a fantasy girlie through and through. Wuthering Heights is my favorite classic novel even though I intensely dislike all the characters in the book. If I sound like someone you'd like to buddy read with, pick up this book!
