This was a heartbreaking novella with
a wholly unique twist on a vampire story. It was devastating to see Isla & Victor (two sweet, kind characters) go through something so horrific and their friends having to watch it happen helplessly. I loved the 'one-take' style of the narrative and the way the characters were fleshed out.
my critique; the last 3 chapters were not needed and dampened the emotional impact a little, especially revealing more info about Isla & Victor's condition.
