The Spare Affair is the second book in the Crown Jewels series.. Gabriel and Alejandro are the main characters featured in this book. They are introduced to us in the very first book of the series. Gabriel is the king's twin brother, and Alejandro holds the title of prince. Alejandro is still feeling down because the king decided to break off their engagement. To improve the current state of affairs between the nations, the king has tasked Gabriel with making their relations better.
I was so excited to read this book. Similar to the first book, I also enjoyed reading this book. Gabriel's seriously one of the best characters. I really enjoy the way his personality comes across. Alejandro was an excellent match for him. They had some funny and smart comebacks. I believe they formed a truly beautiful couple.
If you enjoy an enemies-to-lovers romance, this one is fantastic.
This was an excellent read. The back-and-forth between Alejandro and Gabriel kept the book engaging.
