The cover of this book had been drawing my eye for a little while now, so I figured now was the time to pick it up! It is a YA mystery set in a cozy country town in England, following young FMC Grace who’s father has dragged her out of London for a fresh start. It becomes very obvious that Grace is suffering from some kind of recent trauma and PTSD, and becomes hyper focused on the accidental death rates in this little town that she finds so boring and offensive. Grace takes us on a bit of ride, conducting her own experiment to prove that the deaths were not accidental with the help of her dog Shelby (who also suffers her own kind of trauma and anxiety), her best friend Maddy who travels down from London to help her out and her possible love interest Jem. The mystery unfolds at a lovely easy going pace, that is until you realise that not everything is as it seems, especially when it comes to young Miss Grace.
If you are after a chilled YA mystery, I definitely recommend “The Murder Hypothesis”.
