I think Iโd have preferred to read it as Ryanโs voice was sooooooo wrong for these characters that it really put me off.

The male Voice actor-Ryan West, sounded like Optimus prime and really pulled me out of the story. His voice didnโt feel deep enough for a dragon shifter to let alone for the king Dragon shifter and it was very robotic and not at all emotional. Samantha Brentmoor did a good job and had great qualities to her tone of voice and her emotions came through well.

The story itself was good, it was well written and easy to follow.
I enjoyed it but itโs not something Iโd rave about. I really enjoyed the mystery in the secrets the most, and of course the yearning, but I found the relationship drama became annoying and childish.
I didnโt appreciate the repeated monologue of how the female main character would live so long and didnโt make friends with humans because their lifespan were so short, but I did enjoy the relationship between her and her warbirds plus the found Family vibes with the team. I didnโt like how there was a big gap between the break up and the make up, I felt that was boring and excessive, and wholly unnecessary considering it only took 1 conversation to make it all better. He should have fought for her in my open, not sat around sulking.
I really enjoyed how the author took us away from the main location-headquarters, and travelled us into battle or into town for a drink so we got to see a whole other side of the team.
My fave parts was the ending, really well wrapped up! Itโs like a different author wrote the ending. And the moments of dragon lore- not carrying passengers for example. I wish there was more on the lore and history of the shifters.

To be honest, itโs 2 days since I finished this and I canโt remember much about them apart from the MMC- dragon king was a giant cut teddy bear, the FMC had no clue about herself, her origins or her family and that led to a very curious nature and a need to push and prove herself.
The side characters were good though, the best friend was extremely well written, and the ex lover was an ok character, he started off sarcastic and cocky and changed into a cruel ling pathetic mess.

It just didnโt hold me, it was fun while I was in the moment but easily forgettable, I managed to stop and start without threat pull needing me to be back into it. And the miscommunication side irked me.

Sadly no, it should have been a YA in my opinion, remove the open door side and youโve got a perfect ya book. The spice didnโt really do anything for the plot either, I like. Good long steamy scene or 10 and this book didnโt have that, it was right in the middle.

I managed to finish it but it was rubbish. I won't keep a physical copy and won't recommend it, but it's a shame as the plot could have made a good book in another author's hands

It was OK. I wish I didn't start this one as it didn't do it for me as I struggled to read it. It had an interesting premise that fell flat but I had to see what happened in the end.

I don't regret reading it, and I will read the next one, but this one did have a few flaws. [These could be repetitive writing, gaps or plot holes, better character growth or world building, areas needing more detail]
Generally, the book lacked depth and became confusing. The plot resonated with me even though it annoyed me on the whole.

I'm glad I read it. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to the right people, but I wanted more! Sadly, it's easily forgettable with a few issues I just couldn't overlook/get past.

Good book! I loved it, but... I needed more! I really did enjoy it, but it had a few parts that needed more detail or added history/background or lore. But that's because the story or characters were memorable, and the plot was strong with brilliant twists. I would re-read if I needed to catch up for the next book and would recommend.

This is my God level tier. The book must be perfectly memorable. Even after reading 50+ more books, I will remember character names and emotions along with the plot. If there is a special edition, then I need to own it! If there is a conversation on books- I'm talking about this!
