Book: The Last Goodbye (Blue Sky Bay, 2) by Laura Pavlov

Small town romances always have a certain coziness to them that makes it hard to dislike, especially when they’re written well and have a strong foundation like Blue Sky Bay. Briar Sinclair is in town and finds herself going toe-to-toe with Bass Bennett, a chef and local restaurateur. Her goal? To get him to agree to sell his restaurant. But things aren’t going to be easy especially when neither of them like each other and when both of them are guarded.
I loved seeing the trajectory of not only their relationship but their individual character growth as well. Both of them have every reason to not trust anyone but amid their barbs and banter, they trust each other. I love how Bass stands up for Briar and how she stands up to him. They’re both so good together and seeing them together is such a fun time.
Thank you so much to Laura Pavlov and Valentine PR for the gifted ARC! All opinions are my own.
