Book: The Keeper of Magical Things by Julie Leong

This book is cute! I read The Teller of Small Fortunes so I knew I liked Julie Leong going into this, but I was still pleasantly surprised by just how charming it was. The chemistry between Certainty and Aurelia was top notch, and I loved all the residents of Shpelling (especially the grumpy old lady). Certainty's magical power is SO cool, I love the idea of being able to talk to objects, and Leong describing the unique voice of each item was such a great choice. And Aurelia's necklace? Fuck. That. Shit.
Part of what I love about Leong's writing is that come what may, the resolution will be one that our heroes deserve, the one that will actually make them happy. The way that shook out for Cert, Aurelia, and the residents of Shpelling (and Cert's family!) was just perfect.
