I would love to give a shoutout to the true emotional support MVP of The Fae Captain’s Thief: bread. Reading this had me constantly craving a warm slice slathered in salted butter. 🤤
This quick-paced novella serves as a standalone entry in Elle Thrasher’s The Nordic Fae series. Even without having read the previous books, I had no trouble jumping right in. I loved the Nordic take on fae pirates and their adventuring on seas I haven’t read in many books. The chemistry between the leads was electric, delivering just the right amount of spice.
Our favorite pilferer, Bryn, was so fun to read as she tried to circumvent any trouble arising. Bryn was so relatable with her ADHD brain. Sometimes it does feel like a million things going on at once.
And Henrik was so flirty, fun, and down-bad for our FMC. I loved seeing how he supported her and showed her she doesn’t always have to do everything alone. I hope everyone finds a supportive partner like Henrik… minus the murder-y bits.
