When I heard that Holly was writing another Romantasy, I was highly intrigued. I’ve been reading her romances for quite some time and to hear she was stepping into my favorite genre again caused nothing but excitement for me. I’m convinced she could write any genre, but her romantasy’s are unforgettable.
I was eagerly awaiting starting this book and now I know why. The universe knew I’d love it, way before I did.
Lou was the scorned daughter branded as a witch and a bad omen just like her mother. She only knew a life of loss, cruelty and exile. Getting to read the beginning of her journey to take control of her life was powerful and I can’t wait to continue.
Rune, the Drowned King, cursed with sacrificing his queen, was the most tortured soul. He was gone for Lou at first sight and was determined to keep her safe. I loved his chapters of yearning and realization.
The ending has left me feeling hollow. I just knew (redacted) would become a problem. And I’m so mad I was right. I need book two where Lou kicks their a*s. Holly?? Please tell me it’s your current WIP??🙏
