This book had one of the more unique worlds I've read recently. I loved the "haves" vs "have nots" dynamic created and thought the whole concept was really clever. The irony at the beginning that the Prophet has sinners is great, and the entire book definitely spoke to religion and how twisted it can become in the hands of people that want power. Though it wasn't trying to devastate me, this book really drew me in and made me care about the characters. I loved the twists and turns throughout the book, and the ending absolutely blew me away. You know it's a great book when you immediately look up if there will be a sequel!
Both main characters were morally grey and flawed and human in really believable ways, and I LOVED the tension and angst between them. This is the book boyfriend I've been looking for, and he is HOT. I loved their banter, the love/hate relationship, and the spicy dynamics that played out. I can't wait to read the next book!
