This book wrecked me in the best way!

Book: Between Tides & Thunder by Leena Kazak

I am actually unwell after reading Between Tides & Thunder.

This was not a book. This was an experience. A full emotional assault. A 6 star read that grabbed me by the throat and did not let go.

When I say enemies to lovers, I mean ENEMIES. The kind where you are genuinely questioning if they are about to kiss or kill each other and honestly it could go either way. The tension is suffocating in the best possible way and every interaction had me holding my breath.

Zevayr is THAT man. Morally gray, violent, possessive, absolutely feral. The touch her and die energy is off the charts even when he is two seconds away from strangling her himself. I get the hype. I understand the obsession. I am part of the problem now. I will also never hear the word "baby" in the same way again...iykyk!

And Mayah?? She is not some weak princess waiting to be saved. She is strong, layered, and carrying real trauma that actually matters to the story. Watching her be drawn to the very thing she fears most had me spiraling. The emotional conflict was EVERYTHING.

The plot twists?? I was not safe for a single second. Every time I thought I understood what was happening, I was immediately proven wrong. Jaw on the floor. Heart racing. Fully reeling.

And the slow burn?? Agonizing. Painful. Toe curling. It takes its time and makes you WORK for it and I was eating up every second of the tension.

This book consumed me. I could not think about anything else while reading it and I still cannot stop thinking about it now.

If you love enemies to lovers that actually feels dangerous, morally gray characters, insane chemistry, and plot twists that keep you spiraling, read this immediately.

Just be prepared to lose your mind a little.
