I went into this based off of many recommendations to read the author and was honestly a bit nervous because it’s not my normal trope favorites…. omg am I glad I gave this a chance because it was so beautifully done!!

This Salem witch retelling took me on an emotional roller coaster that I was warned about but was absolutely not prepared for. It starts out calm and almost normal, for that time period at least 👀 And then, because apparently we can’t have nice things… everything changes.

🖤 The trigger warnings are absolutely applicable, but the heavier moments are written in such a tactful way that feels raw, real, and impactful without becoming too much or making the story too difficult to get through. They add weight to the story and its characters without overshadowing everything else happening around them.

It left me completely emotionally wrecked, but I still wasn’t ready for it to end. I wanted to keep turning pages forever, even as the story shattered me in the best possible way! 💔❤️‍🩹
