I have never wanted to reach through and shake some sense into two characters as much as I did with Ellis and Scarlett. Lol. They are both such stubborn individuals but you can tell from the get-go that they are in for a wild ride. This book definitely kept me on my toes. I was positive I knew who the stalker was when we first get the notion that Scarlett has one. Then as the story goes I started to second guess myself and think maybe not. Then to be offended that I ever second guessed myself.
I love how Scarlett is written in this book. She comes off as carefree and nothing bothers her. When in reality when you get a glimpse I to her head she is actually really hard on herself. I feel like a lot of people can relate to that what we let others see and how we really feel can be vastly different.
Now Ellis....at first I was not a fan but im glad I kept reading to give him a chance. As the book goes you get a better idea of why he is the way he is and how and why he reacts/responds how he does. I absolutely love that he talks about going to therapy and isn't ashamed of it.
I definitely recommend giving this book a read. I would probably read book 1 first. I did not and I wish I had so now its on my list to go back and read.
Thank you so much to The Smuthood and the author for the early copy of this book. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review of this book.
