Sweet cowboy romance

Book: One Wild Chance: A Sweet Small Town Cowboy Romance by Grace Worthington

Jaxon Chance has never planned for anything but hockey, so when a career-ending injury takes him back to his family's horse farm he's not happy. Jaxon and his three brothers plan on selling the farm, but the terms of a will make them reconsider. For Summer Daniels there's more than the farm at stake. She's built her life and Wildflower Farms on land she doesn't own, and no infuriating hockey player will take that away from her!

We've seen glimpses of Jaxon in the author's Perfect Crush Hockey series, about different players for the hockey team Carolina Crushers. Now he's got his own book and the honor of starting off a new series, where we will get to know all four Chance brothers. We can already see their relationship and how close they are and I love that! I also like that they all became athletes: two in hockey, one in football and one in baseball. I'm looking forward to read about the others in future books!

Jaxon and Summer are both extremly stubborn and as teenagers they competed about everything. This attitude still exists when they now meet as adults, and they continue to fight over everything. I'm getting slightly frustrated before their attitudes start to change! The chemistry between them is palpable and I'm very happy that we get dual POV's.

I've never been a horse girl, so the environment of a horse farm is pretty uninteresting for me. I learn a bit about horse breeding and the life at a ranch, but I'm definitely more interested in the cowboys than the horses! 😉

I recommend "One Wild Chance" to those who'd enjoy a sweet, closed-door, second chance, rivals to lovers cowboy romance with grumpy/sunshine vibes, forced proximity and found family!
