On a Midnight Clear is a sweet anthology with three Christmas stories that aren't connected, but I really enjoyed them. The first story, The Shepherd's Heart by Tracie Peterson, is a marriage of convenience story (which you know I love) in an isolated part of Wyoming. The second story, No Room at the Inn by Misty Beller, takes place at a stage stop in the middle of a snowstorm. It was very sweet. The final story, A Star in the West by Karen Witemeyer, is the reason I requested the anthology in the first place. I love Witemeyer for a reason and this was no exception. I loved the Waco setting and the older protagonists, who both believed they'd never find love. This was a great anthology for Christmas!
