Ellie is extremely relatable, while Matt has all the typical features of a hockey hero. They meet on the anniversary of one of Ellie's worst days ever, and flirting with the hunky Matt is the highlight of a crappy day. When they next meet and Ellie makes her proposition, I was so proud of her for asking for what she wants. Matt and Ellie's chemistry is top notch from the start. But so are all the sweet moments where Matt takes care of her. Instead of this book focusing on the hockey so much, I think it was more about the emotional connection between the two of them and the growth they go through as a couple. This book is wonderfully emotional and smart while still being fun and sexy.
