Book: Get Over It, April Evans by Ashley Herring Blake

Cottages, cats, and coincidences collide in this close proximity sapphic romance. April and Daphne have something in common. Or should I say someone? Off to teach art at a luxury resort for the summer, April and Daphne end up as roommates in a small cottage on site. Horrified to find they’re both exes of Elena, the two tiptoe around each other. Oh, and they’re both competing for the same spot at the Devon in London, a prestigious honor in the art world. The longer they’re around each other, the more palpable the tension becomes. Their chemistry is undeniable, but their shared history left them both with deep wounds. Can they get past it?
I devoured this sapphic rom-com. April is a moody goth, loves tarot and illustration. Daphnie is all rainbows and sunshine with her radiant personality. Of course they’re going to get together, it’s science. The catalyst looming over them for chaos? Elena, THEIR serious long turn ex. The plot was cute, the feelings were relatable and something to reflect on. I love a good happily ever after sapphic love story. Definitely a quick, beach type read!
