I was a bit nervous starting this book as I've had some real misses recently when it comes to fake dating very soon after a break up. Turns out I did not need to be nervous about Sunk In Love! I think one thing that really helped with that is there wasn't a lot of animosity between our MCs. If you make me hate the MMC early on, it's much harder to buy into them quickly getting back together.
This started off really strong, and we get flashbacks/a bit of dual timeline throughout the book. The timing and duration of these fit really well within the narrative. While this is dual timeline, we do not get dual POV, so there was a lot of us being in the same place as our FMC with trying to figure out Liam's motivations, why he's been making changes, etc.
I found when I did have to set this down, I was really consistently thinking about it and wanting to pick it back up. Overall this was a really emotional and moving story that I devoured fairly quickly, even with it being on the slightly longer side for a contemporary romance. I definitely recommend this and will be reading more from the author.
