Give me an MC crossover, and I'm already halfway sold. Add a struggling family ranch, second-chance romance, grumpy/sunshine energy, family drama AND a HEA? Yes, please. 🤠🖤 Sun Up to Sundown is the first book in the Fallen Meadows Ranch series and works as a companion to E.C. Land's "Fallen Demons" serie, which made my crossover-loving heart very happy.
Maddox has been carrying the weight of his family's struggling ranch on his shoulders. When his grandfather passes away, Maddox learns the ranch has been left to both him and his sister, Della, who has been estranged from the family for years. And ohhhh, the family drama. This isn't simply a story about saving a ranch. There are years of hurt, misunderstandings, assumptions, and fractured relationships tangled up in Fallen Meadows, giving the story that emotional heartstring pull I love alongside the romance.
Then Maddox runs into Amelia again. She's his first love, but she's no longer the girl he remembers. Amelia is now a single mom raising a young son who is beginning to understand that his father is, unfortunately, pretty much a deadbeat. Maddox and Amelia bring all that delicious second-chance, grumpy/sunshine goodness, but I especially enjoyed the family element surrounding their relationship. There's history here. There are wounds that need healing. And there's the possibility of building something new from what was left behind. And YES- we get our HEA. ❤️ But then Janine had to go and give me Shadow from the MC crossover, who has his own history with Della. (Did I mention that I LOVE crossover stories?!) Knowing these worlds connect just makes me want to keep reading and find all the little threads tying everyone together. 🎧 AUDIOBOOK: Harlow Wilde and Theo Sinclair were fabulous narrators. They brought the emotion, romance, family tension, and personalities to life and made this an incredibly easy listen for me.
Between the ranch, the romance, the complicated family dynamics, and those MC connections, Sun Up to Sundown gave me so many things I love in one story. And Janine Infante Bosco has very quickly become a must-read/must-listen author for me. 🖤
