I have been really looking forward to this shared universe and this was a strong start! I would happily follow Aquarius and her guys on more missions; Charlotte is an absolute boss and I love how confident and capable she is. As this is a standalone in a shared universe, I appreciated how straightforward the plot was and I was hooked in straight away. Charlotte is an assassin hiding in plain sight however her latest job hits a snag in the form of a coworker figuring out her covert side missions. Coupled with some forced proximity and absolutely scorching tension between both Charlotte and her boyfriend Freddie with new pilot, Hangman, this mission is proving to be a game changer.
Charlotte's connection with Theo is a lot of fun; they are definitely the same person in a different font! Freddie is an absolute sweetheart and I loved how flustered he was with them both whilst also knowing what he wanted. I loved how soft Charlotte was for him. Dixon was who I didn't see coming and I wish the book had been a bit longer to see if anything was going to spark between him and Freddie!

3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
